Fiesta de Mujeres

Join us on March 8th for Fiesta de Mujeres, a celebration of International Women's Day in support of the Northwestern Ontario Women's Centre, at Norteños Taqueria. Everyone is welcome to shimmy and shake to the caliente playlist by DJ Eddie which includes salsa, bachata, merengue, kizomba, afrobeats and reggaeton. Beginner latin dance lesson at 9 pm followed by the social dance at 10 pm. Enjoy delicious food and drinks for purchase from Norteños. Tickets are only $10 and advance ticket holders will receive 5 free raffle tickets for a chance to win many fabulous prizes!

The Northwestern Ontario Women's Centre is a non-profit, community-based feminist organization providing frontline advocacy, support and information to local and regional women experiencing violence, poverty, human rights concerns or problems with legal (family, criminal) or administrative systems. They work towards the prevention of gender-based violence, as well as economic justice and food security, by engaging women, local organizations, and the public in education, programming, and systemic advocacy. Since 2005, they have operated the Thunder Bay Good Food Box, a monthly food distribution program.
