St. Johns Ambulance Spring into Summer RV Raffle

Dougall Media is proud to be a Major Sponsor of St Johns Ambulance's Spring Into Summer Draw/RV Raffle. Grand Prize Draw Date is Thursday June 24th at 2pm at St. John House on 518 Fort William Road. Tickets are $10 each and are now on sale. 68 prizes to be won! Tickets are available at St. Johns Ambulance and Smith's RV Centre. Tickets can't be purchased by, for, or on behalf of individuals under the age of 18 years. All proceeds goes to support their community services divisions. First prize is a 2010-36' BHS Jayco Jayflight Travel Trailer with an estimated Prize Value of $35,400! There will also be early bird draws on March 18th, April 22nd, May 27th. Tickets need to be pruchased a week before each draw to be eligible.


Mike MacDonald at the Thunder Bay Community Auditorium

Rock 94 is proud to present Comedian Mike MacDonald at the Thunder Bay Community Auditorium on March 25th. Tickets are on sale now at the TBCA box office. The stand-up comedian and actor is very prominent on the Canadian Comedy front and is the only comedian to be featured in every Just for Laughs Gala since it's inception. He has also hosted the Gemini Awards and the Just For Laughs 10th anniversary special along with appearing on many late night talk-shows like David Letterman and Arsenio Hall.


GenNext Dodgeball Tournament

It's the Sun Life Financial GenNext Dodge Ball Tournament in support of the United Way on Saturday March 27 proudly supported by Dougall Media at the Sports Dome. Going into its third year, it's a great way for young adults to get physical, have fun, win prizes and network, all the while strengthening our community! Thirty Two big-hearted and energetic teams who pledge a minimum of $500 will participate in a round robin tournament from 9:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Sports Dome. Teams consist of 8 - 10 players with a minimum of two girls. Event registration now until March 12. Rules are posted online at www.unitedway-tbay.on.ca, see Special Events.


15th Annual Canadian Red Cross Northern Adventure Raffle

Dougallmedia is proud to support the Canadian Red Cross 15th Annual Northern Adventure Raffle. Tickets are on sale now until March 20th, 2010. Only 20,500 tickets will be sold and are priced at $10 each. The big draw date on March 31st. Great prizes to be won as there will be 5 draws for $1000(3rd place), a 2010 Polaris Sportsman ATV and gift certificate($9000 Value - 2nd place) and the grand prize draw of a 2010 Hyundai Santa Fe SUV(prized at $33,000) or $25,000 cash. All monies raised in the North will stay in the North and go towards Disaster Management services. Enter the Den

Rock 94 in partnership with Thunder Bay Ventures is proud tp present Enter the Den. Enter the Den is a contest inspired by Dragon's Den, the popular TV show. This contest is open to Thunder Bay Highschool students who have a good business idea. First place prize is $1,500 and possible low cost loan, Second Place Prize is $1,000 and possible low cost loan and Third Place is $750 and possible low cost loan. The three prizes will go to students with good business ideas that have been researched, presented and defended well.

Contest finals will be held on Wednesday, May 26th at Superior Collegiate - 333 High St. North from 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm. Submission deadline is Monday, April 6th (Easter Monday). For more information call 768-6650.

This will be kinder version of the Dragon's Den Formula, with practical feedback to each and every participant, and all students will receive encouragement and support along the way.
